Supervisor
Robert LaRoe is our township supervisor. The supervisor functions as the chief executive officer of the township. Their responsibilities include presiding over township meetings, administering general assistance, and serving as treasurer of all town and road district funds.
Township Administrator
Kimberly Howard serves as the Township Administrator of General Assistance. She oversees the daily administrative operations of the Township and serves as a primary point of contact for immediate township matters. Kimberly also assists residents with general township inquiries and General or Emergency Assistance during normal business hours.
Township Clerk
Becky Heid is our township clerk. The township clerk maintains all township records, with the exception of general assistance case files. They are responsible for posting all public notices on behalf of the township, and are required to attest the signature of the township supervisor for all township expenditures.
Assessor
Lindsay Brotherton is our township assessor. The assessor establishes property values of all parcels of land in the township for the purposes of estimating property tax. The assessor does not levy taxes. This is the only elected position in Illinois that requires the candidate seeking office to undertake formal certification training.
Cemetery Sexton
Jordan King serves as the cemetery sexton for Mahomet Township. He is responsible for overseeing cemetery operations, including the sale of burial plots, interments, and general maintenance, while ensuring all cemetery regulations and records are properly maintained. Jordan is the primary point of contact for questions or concerns related to cemetery services.
