Mahomet Township was founded in 1836, and is part of Champaign County. The Village of Mahomet is included within Mahomet Township, though the two are separate entities.
The Mahomet Township Office serves our community in three ways:
- General Assistance
We are a resource for individuals and families who are struggling to meet basic needs like food, clothing, and shelter. - Property Assessment
We establish the fair market value of all property within the township, in order to properly calculate property tax. - Road and Bridge Maintenance
Maintenance services are administered by the Mahomet Township Road District, which can be reached separately by phone at 217-586-3022.
